I decided to tap into my artistic side and bring an old art form into my new love of customization. Lilium was a bit of a trial run to see how well this would work out, and although it was difficult and challenging (as you all can probably tell by now, I like a challenge). As hard as it was though I had SO much fun making her. As shown in her pictures she is made out of ALL dots, I did not use a single line anywhere except for her eyes. As usual she was airbrushed and hand painted with professional acrylic paints. This was also the first time trying gradiants when airbrushing. She was rehaired using Dollyhair in Peaches n Cream, a custom blend of Tigerlily and Marmalade, Keylime, Envy, Marshmellow, Mermaid and Pomme d' amour. I hand blended several of these colors together as well. She is for sale!
well gee, maybe you should contact the company who makes/designs these horses. i am sure they would take you on. haha. this is actually very nice. nice work with the flowers and hair. they turned out well.
thats great, you should, you do well at it. i never really got into pointillism. guess it was just too time consuming for me. you should try parrot tulips, those are my fave flower too unless of course you don't take ideas if they're not commission requests.
I will definately take ideas that aren't commissions! I am always looking for new challenges. I am going to be starting a bleeding hearts pony next. I will have to take a look at some pictures of those tulips though and see if I can come up with some ideas!
yay, great. i've always got flower ideas if you ever need any. there are so many cool looking flowers out there. bleeding hearts, that should be interesting. i will have to see when you finish and post it. sounds awesome! cannot wait to see what you come up with.
I am almost finished with another one too for a trade so hopefully I will get that done and have pictures up this week I am extremely excited with how that one looks and can't wait to put pictures up.
